The Venus de Milo is excited to announce the opening of its newly renovated ala carte restaurant, Empire Grille and Lounge. Located inside the landmark Venus de Milo, and designed By Kyla Coburn, of Kyla Coburn Designs, guests will experience a new, eclectic flavor, yet the same warm and friendly atmosphere. Weekend entertainment will be offered, with a DJ on Friday nights and a live band on Saturday nights. Owner and President, Monte C. Ferris, states, “In one way we’re revisiting the past, and on the other hand, we’re bridging the past with the future”.
The Empire Grille and Lounge will be open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. While the Venus de Milo’s popular menu selections are still available, new menu items are featured, such as raw bar, expanded grill selections with an international flair, grilled pizzas, and pastas. Guests will enjoy a new and extensive wine list to complement this exciting menu. “There will be plenty of innovative menu items to please the discriminating palette, and at a reasonable price”, says owner Monte C. Ferris.
The Ferris family opened The Venus de Milo in 1959 and has since become the largest independent family-owned restaurant in the United States, providing quality cuisine and customer service. It is known for its signature and award-winning soup and chowder, and most notably its baked stuffed lobsters, hailed by Chef Emeril Lagasse as “the best baked stuffed lobster in Southern New England.” Ferris is also an active member within the Massachusetts and Rhode Island communities, supporting humanitarian, educational and non-profit organizations.
